Alphabet Names Ant Ashkenazi as New CFO
Eli Lilly Chief Financial Officer Anat Ashkenazi will become Alphabet’s new CFO effective July 31, Google’s parent company said, almost a year after Alphabet announced that current CFO Ruth Porat would move into a new role as president and chief investment officer. Ashkenazi had a 23-year career at Eli Lilly.
Hertz Names Scott Haralson as New CFO
Hertz has named Scott Haralson as its new chief financial officer, effective the end of June, the company announced. He will replace Alexandra Brooks, who is leaving at the end of the month to pursue other opportunities. Haralson is a “veteran of the transportation industry” with more than 25 years of experience, most recently serving as CFO of Spirit Airlines. He previously held leadership roles at Dish Network, Frontier Airlines, Swift Aviation Group and US Airways.
OpenAI Names Sarah Friar as New CFO
Artificial-intelligence developer OpenAI announced that Sarah Friar would become its next chief financial officer, as it prepares to work more closely with a growing number of large companies and deal with an increasingly fraught landscape for the technology. Friar is the former chief executive of neighborhood-communications app Nextdoor Holdings Inc. and a former chief financial officer of Square, which is now known as Block Inc.
LeaseCrunch Names Jessica Hamilton as New CFO

Vantage Group Holdings Names Todd Link as New CFO
Vantage Group Holdings has announced the appointment of Todd Link as its new chief financial officer (CFO) effective immediately. Link will report directly to Vantage Group Holdings CEO Greg Hendrick – his appointment makes him part of the company’s leadership team. He will oversee Vantage’s overall financial operations, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, and investments.
CoStar Names Chris Lown as New CFO
CoStar Group, commercial and residential real estate powerhouse, has appointed Chris Lown as CFO following the retirement of former CFO Scott Wheeler. Lown will officially join CoStar on July 1. He brings more than 25 years of experience in banking and finance. Previous roles include EVP and CFO at the student loan company Navient Corporation, and more than a decade in leadership roles at investment bank Morgan Stanley.
The Mutual Group Names Brett Humphrey as New CFO
The Mutual Group (formally known as TMG Insurance Services, LLC) has appointed Brett Humphrey as senior vice president and chief financial officer. Humphrey brings close to two decades of global financial services leadership experience to his new role at the integrated insurance operations platform for the mutual industry.
West Monroe Names Dan Freiman as New CFO
West Monroe, a global business and technology consulting firm, announced that Dan Freiman joined as chief financial officer. Freiman has 30 years of financial leadership experience in both the public and private sectors, most recently as the CFO of JSI, a technology driven consulting firm providing broadband solutions to U.S. based communications companies.
Aon Names Edmund Reese as New CFO
Professional-services company Aon has hired Edmund Reese as its next chief financial officer, plucking the executive from Broadridge Financial Solutions. Aon said Reese will join the Dublin-based company on July 1 and will become executive vice president and finance chief on July 29 ahead of the previously announced retirement of Christa Davies.
Chemours Names Shane Hostetter as New CFO
Chemical company Chemours named a new finance chief after suspending three top leaders earlier this year amid an accounting probe. Shane Hostetter will join the Wilmington, Del.-based company on July 1 from Quaker Houghton, where he has been chief financial officer since April 2021. In his 13 years at the maker of industrial process fluids, Hostetter held various other senior-level finance roles, including chief accounting officer and global controller.
Alpine Income Property Trust Names Philip Mays as New CFO
Alpine Income Property Trust, Inc. has announced the appointment of Philip R. Mays as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Treasurer, effective June 17, 2024. Mays brings extensive experience to his new role, having recently served as CFO of Shadowbox Studios from September 2021 to February 2024. Prior to that, he was CFO and Executive Vice President at Cedar Realty Trust, Inc., a NYSE-listed retail REIT, from June 2011 to September 2021.
Navan Names Amy Butte as New CFO
Navan announces that finance veteran Amy Butte is taking over the reins as the company’s finance chief to oversee a team of approximately 160 people. Butte had joined Navan’s board in April of this year, but in short order the company’s leadership recruited her into the full-time role in the C-suite.
C.H. Robinson Names Damon Lee as New CFO
C.H. Robinson Worldwide, one of the world’s largest logistics platforms, has announced Damon Lee will take over as Chief Financial Officer effective after the filing of the company’s 2024 second quarter Form 10-Q. Lee, currently the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of GE Aerospace’s Commercial Engines and Services division, will succeed Mike Zechmeister, who is set to retire following a transition period.
