TGI Fridays Names Nik Rupp as New CFO
TGI Fridays hired Nik Rupp as CFO and president of international markets. As CFO and president of international markets, Rupp will oversee TGI Fridays’ financial strategy, particularly in accounting, finance and capital structure. He will also strategize around growth and work with international franchisees.
Airbnb Names Ellie Mertz as New CFO
Airbnb appointed Ellie Mertz, an 11-year veteran of the short-term rental company, as its new chief financial officer. Mertz succeeds Dave Stephenson, Airbnb’s CFO since 2019, who was promoted to become the company’s chief business officer, a newly created role.
Chewy Names David Reeder as New CFO
Chewy has named David Reeder as its next chief financial officer, effective February 14th, 2024. Reeder joins the online pet supplies retailer from GlobalFoundries, a semiconductor manufacturer, where he served as CFO since 2020 and led its financial strategy, including its initial public offering in 2021. Reeder also has experience from Tower Hill Insurance Group, Lexmark International and Cisco Systems.
EnCore Energy Corp. Names Dr. Dennis Stover as New CFO
enCore Energy Corp. announced the resignation of Ms. Mierkey, Chief Financial Officer, effective December 23, 2023. Dr. Dennis Stover has agreed to act as Interim CFO until the conclusion of a CFO search.
Toyota Financial Services Names James Schofield as New CFO
James Schofield moves into the CFO role after serving as the group vice president of finance, treasury, competitiveness, and mergers and acquisitions for Toyota Financial Services. In that role, he led the treasury function for Toyota Motor North America and oversaw the corporate finance-related activities for TFS. Schofield came to Toyota in 2021, after working with corporations across the U.S., U.K., Europe, and Asia. Before joining Toyota, he was at JP Morgan Chase & Co. as the vice president, credit and rates North America.
Arko Names Robert Giammatteo as New CFO
Arko Corp. has named Robert Giammatteo as its new executive vice president and CFO effective January 2nd, 2024. He will also serve as CFO of the company’s c-store arm, GPM Investments. The new CFO brings more than 20 years of financial business experience to this new role. Giammatteo most recently worked for nearly four years as executive vice president, CFO and chief transformation officer of grocer Giant Eagle, parent of c-store chain GetGo Cafe + Market.
Ameritas Names Michele Wu as New CFO
Michele Wu has been named senior vice president, chief financial officer, and treasurer. She will oversee accounting and finance, corporate actuarial and capital management at Ameritas.
GlobalFoundries Names John Hollister as New CFO
GlobalFoundries, the Malta computer chip manufacturer, has hired John Hollister as its new chief financial officer. Hollister, who holds a similar position at Silicon Labs, will take the job early 2024.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise Names Marie Myers as CFO
Hewlett Packard Enterprise said HP Inc’s finance chief Marie Myers would join the server maker as its chief financial officer (CFO) on January 15, 2024. Myers, who was HP’s finance lead during the separation of Hewlett-Packard Co in 2015, served as the PC maker’s CFO since 2021.
Fifth Third Bancorp Names Bryan Preston as New CFO
Fifth Third Bancorp said CEO and President Tim Spence will also assume the role of chairman of the lender’s board from Jan. 2. In other top-level changes, Bryan Preston, currently treasurer, will replace Jamie Leonard as chief financial officer. Leonard will become the chief operating officer (COO), the bank said.
